Reflecting on Persuasive Essay1

Filed under: Writing — Buffy J. Hamilton @ 4:44 pm

Before you turn in your final draft of your first persuasive essay, consider these questions:

1.  What do you think you did best on this essay?
2.  What do you feel still needs improvement on this essay?
3.  What was most challenging about this essay?
4.  Was the peer editing process helpful to you?  Why or why not?
5.  On a scale of 1-10 (1 lowest, 10 highest), what would you rate your essay in terms of its effectiveness in persuasing the reader of your viewpoint? Why?
6.   Look back at your notes on the qualities of a good persuasive essay.  Identify three qualities that you demonstrated in your essay.
